Marty Barnhart, Executive Director of Omaha Municipal LandBank presented during the 2018 February HomeNE Webinar. He discussed what a Land Bank does and what kinds of properties they target. Barnhart also presented on both the short-term and long-term impact measures including: property-tracking system implemented, inspiring change in neighborhoods and families, decrease in vacant lots, and increase in real estate development. An end-use partnership strategy was also shared; demonstrating how LandBank tackles projects, assistance within city redevelopment areas, and how they work with partners in their focus areas.

They are a non-profit that contributes to a thriving metro by convening, engaging, educating and advocating for excellence in people-centered urban design and policy. The Affordable by Design Housing Playbook is designed to apply innovation int he accelerated production of affordable housing solutions. Together with its partners, Omaha by Design is proud to introduce this series of open-source affordable housing prototypes, collaboratively designed to assist prospective homeowners and developers in their efforts to address the "affordability gap" in new-construction infill housing.

Hear the amazing story of how creative partnerships in the City of Plattsmouth saved the Historic Plattsmouth High School. The high school was build in 1918 and is an iconic historical monument on the main street of downtown Plattsmouth. Today the project is complete and is home to 25 units known as "The Lofts on Main".
