Marty Barnhart, Executive Director of Omaha Municipal LandBank presented during the 2018 February HomeNE Webinar. He discussed what a Land Bank does and what kinds of properties they target. Barnhart also presented on both the short-term and long-term impact measures including: property-tracking system implemented, inspiring change in neighborhoods and families, decrease in vacant lots, and increase in real estate development. An end-use partnership strategy was also shared; demonstrating how LandBank tackles projects, assistance within city redevelopment areas, and how they work with partners in their focus areas.

The toolkit offers communities of all sizes comprehensive guidance, instructions, practical steps, and case studies to assist and develop their own housing development short and long-term plans.
