The Missing Piece of the Puzzle

In the September HomeNE webinar focused on community engagement and housing challenges in Cumming County, David Branch highlighted the successful Give Get Grow program, which supported local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. He then provided a detailed overview of ongoing housing projects aimed at expanding affordable options for seniors and the workforce across the county. Branch also emphasized the need for diverse funding sources, including the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund and the Federal Home Loan Bank. He showcased the success of the home improvement program through examples of assistance provided to low-income families. Following his presentation, Taryn Horn from the Nebraska Department of Water, Energy, and Environment introduced environmental cleanup grants available through the Brownfields program.
